Two more comics, maybe a short little epilogue, and then it'll be DONE and we can all go back to giggling over horrendous violations of personal space committed by black guys with dreadlocks.

Y'know, if that's your thing.

I can actually honestly say that this comic contains some of my best comic-art to date. Which is weird.

I have liked this arc very much, but something has been bugging me tremendously.

Why do you insist on making the characters give a word bubble of their emotion.. when the audience can plainly see it? It just seems like it's overdoing it. Bubbles with an expression feel better off when the character's expression is not onscreen

But like seeing two smiling jesters and two annoyed glomps in the same panel seem very redundant and kind of sloppy to me. Like the visuals should tell the story, especially for characters that cannot speak. So the less unnecessary bubbles the better.

JUST AN OPINION :-[ it was a lot worse in earlier pages. But like if you want to exemplify the emotion it could be something other than the face we already see.

It took me a while but I think I understand their conversation. xD I like that they speak in symbols and emotes. And, I also happen to like the emote-bubbles. At least to me, it seems less like restating their moods and more like exclamations. Where Jester is sort of like "YAY! =D", Glomp is sort of like "Hmph. >>" At least that's how it seems to me. And I like it. x3 And you're right...this page is quite awesome. OwO

Let me see if I can figure out the conversation...this is just a fan's guess, so don't act like it's official people.

'All empty! Great, right?'
'*grumpy*'
'Now you can start over!'
'Why? Starting over means the sand runs out. The sand running out means dying. Dying is bad.'
'Oh....'

...That's my interpretation. I could be completely off, though. They could be talking about Glomp eating what he thought was a sugar skull at a Dia de Los Muertos festival and finding out it was sand instead!

I agree, this is some pretty fantastic comic art. What program are you using?

Your point is well taken - and you are largely correct.
I am also bugged by it a bit. When I want to show that they're not just making expressions at each other, but actually talking, a word-bubble is the best way. And since I've decided not to use proper words with these dudes, the clearest way to show what they're "saying" is by way of an emote.

Could also just use exclamation-marks to denote that they're making sound, but I felt that'd become too repetetive, too.

"They could be talking about Glomp eating what he thought was a sugar skull at a Dia de Los Muertos festival and finding out it was sand instead!" *snort* I bet that's it XD
My guess is that the sand means time, other than that, I agree with the first comment guess =P
